Importing Radio Communication Equipment into Thailand: Do You Need an NBTC License

Radio communication equipment, along with devices that receive or convert broadcast signals, requires an import license from the Office of the NBTC before every shipment. The import license is valid for 180 days, separate from the license to use the device, which stays valid for the device's entire service life. Applicants also need an existing license to trade radio communication equipment plus supporting corporate documents.

BOI Import Rights for Machinery & Raw Materials: What You Need to Know

Companies holding a BOI promotion certificate can import machinery and raw materials with an exemption or reduction on import duty. But you must submit a Machinery List for BOI approval before importing, and machinery import rights generally must be used within 3 years of the certificate date. Raw materials are tracked through the RMTS system on every release, and using either outside their approved purpose can lead to the privilege being revoked.
